The Location
The event takes place in Melano, Ticino, Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Lugano.
Accomodation solutions include the Camping Monte Generoso (camping site, rental campers) and the Hotel Stazione in Maroggia (5 min. walking distance). Please download our Programme, that includes several other accomodation possibilities.
Our categories
Our competition started off as an aerobatics-only competition for remote-controlled seaplane models in 1959. It has since evolved and also features Semi-Scale models.

The competition organized by the Swiss team is for me the culmination of the aeromodelling season.
I like to participate in this race because the organization of the competition is at a very good level.
For several years, my semi scale seaplane model flying friends were talking me into trying my luck here. Eventually I yielded and was rewarded right away by much better placing than I expected. This, the beauty of the place and the competent and welcoming management of the event, makes me want to come back year after year until I am too old to do it anymore.
